B 250 Lesson 6 Weekly Reflection

This week has been spent setting up a Google AdWords search campaign and identifying campaign keywords to use.

So far, I feel one of the best tactics for identifying keywords is to put yourself in the users’ shoes and pretend you were going to do a search. The more specific you can be in imagining it, the better. I’m drawing parallels with my other web design classes, where we have made user profiles, which are preferably as detailed as possible, and imagined tasks they would come to our site to do.

Of course, I don’t really know whether my keyword list is any good yet. I’ll need to start my campaign and collect some data in order to tell for sure.
