B 250 Lesson 7 Weekly Reflection

This week, we chewed through a lot of material on writing ads, specifically in the context of Google AdWords. The basic idea is to include keywords and information that targets only people interested in actually buying your stuff. The more precisely you can hit that target, the better.

On the one hand, there’s no good in writing an ad with such broad appeal that everyone clicks it, even if they’re not remotely interested in buying. Then you’re paying for empty clicks.

On the other hand, you definitely want to create a strong appeal for those looking to buy products like yours. You want every one of those clicks you can get.

After at least two re-writings, I’ve got an ad ready to launch now.

Our workload was lighter this week to give us time to finish up our site preparatory to launching our ad campaign. I need to implement Google AdSense, but other than that, I’m almost ready to go!
