This week, the topic was social media!

Social media can be a great tool for businesses. It allows you to monitor public discussions about your product, brand, or industry to identify opportunities or problems. It also allows you to find and interact with people interested in your products. And it allows customers to spread word-of-mouth information about your company augmented by links or other enhancements.

Social media also influences SEO. Search engines are largely tight-lipped about exactly how this influence works. But at the very least, social media web pages are crawled like any others and therefore serve as a source of backlinks and other SEO features.
