ART 331R Module 4: Digital Sketches and Exploration
This week saw my first digital drafts of graphics representing the idea of 100 weeks. The three ideas I chose to explore were the following:
- How much of an average courtship (first date to engagement) 100 weeks constitutes
- Pet costs over 100 weeks
- Tree growth over 100 weeks

I had some difficulty generating variety with the pet cost sketches, but I’m sure that is not an insurmountable problem. More ideas would likely come with time and thought.
It was hard to gather research and resources on the tree concept. All trees seem to grow at slightly different rates. And no one seems to want to photograph saplings, much less the ones I find data about or ones exactly 100 weeks old. I definitely had to fudge to get this one to work.
