Tooth Kitty Logo Design
This webpage showcases the Tooth Kitty logo I created and discusses the design process behind it.
Some of the thinking that went into this logo design:
- My inspiration was a cartoon tooth on the side of a local dentist’s office. It had nothing to do with cats, but I was sitting next to my wife at the time, who is a fan of cats and pink. Thus my logo became reminiscent of Hello Kitty.
- I created this logo in Adobe Illustrator, making extensive use of the reflect tool. The inside of the ears is a path offset from the edges of the ears, with the point rounded.
- I use white for the tooth color. Pink both appeals to my wife and is anatomically correct for cat ears and noses. I used rounded lines for a pleasant, cartoony feel.
- This logo would be suitable for a pediatric dentist that is female or targets a female audience. The logo could help little girls feel more comfortable at the dentist's office.
- This logo was paired with the Comfortaa font, which mimics the rounded lines of the logo. It has a cartoony feel, but is more serious and stylish than Comic Sans.
